SEASONS
Winter: The ideal Cairns weather for most is between May and October which is the dry season. The dry season along with the low humidity and cool breeze makes it pleasurable for activities.
Summer: Is between November and April, which is the wet season with tropical rainfalls caused by the monsoons. With the wet season comes the arrival of the Box Jellyfish close to the beach which prevents swimming in the Surf unless they are using the protective nets. However, the Great Barrier Reef is free of the Box Jellyfish through all the seasons.
