VISA'S

ELECTRONIC TRAVEL AUTHORITY 
International travellers require passport and visitors� visa (exception for residents of New Zealand). More information can be obtained by visiting the Australian Department Of Immigration. Please check before entering the country. 

Travellers visiting other countries on the way to and from Australia should check the vaccination requirements with their doctor or health centre.

The Australian Government advises those intending to visit Australia to obtain a visa or Electronic Travel Authority (ETA) before paying their airline tickets, disposing of real estate or giving notice to employers. Also, health and character requirements must be satisfied.

TOURIST - (ETA)
This is for holidaying in Australia and is valid for 12 months, or until your passport expires, whichever comes first. Multiple entries into Australia are permitted, with a maximum stay of three months on each visit.

The Australian government offices recommend that you apply for your ETA from a travel agent or by telephoning BP Travel Trade on telephone 01233 211 800. Have your credit card and information ready. There may be an additional charge for the visa. This visa requires no passport stamping or application form filling. 

WORKING HOLIDAY VISAS
Working Holiday Visas are for 18-30 year olds who wish to travel in Australia for up to one year. You are entitled to work in order to supplement your travel funds. Details can be obtained by visiting the DIMA.

BUSINESS - (ETA)
This is for people obtaining entry into Australia for business purposes. 
The Business ETA is valid for 10 years, or until your passport expires; whichever comes first. Multiple entries into Australia are permitted with a maximum 3 month stay on each occasion. 

It is not necessary to send your passport and you are not required to provide evidence of an onward ticket.

TEMPORARY RESIDENCE VISAS
Temporary residence is designed to allow overseas people to come to Australia for specific purposes, such as economic international relations and social/cultural. More details by visiting the DIMA.

MIGRATION VISAS
There are eight different migration information and application booklets available. Several different visa classes exist for people wanting to permanently migrate to Australia.
